LaPIXEL Academy // Director/Instructor
Since 2016, LaPIXEL has been dedicated to helping middle and high school students learn more about digital arts and building video games. Throughout this month-long program, students are introduced to concepts related to creating their own game assets, developing playable video games, and collaborating with others. This program is sponsored by LaPREP and wouldn't be possible without the help of my fellow Digital Arts colleagues and students.
IdeaSpace // Designer/Facilitator
Completed in late 2019, the IdeaSpace is a low-tech, experiential teaching lab dedicated to helping students discover creative solutions to today’s complex challenges through innovative thinking development and team-based learning. This premier location provides wall-to-wall whiteboards for continuous creative exploration, modular seating and whiteboards for team-based projects, and an enhanced instructor’s workstation, with touchscreen controls, along with six 65-inch team-screens. As its designer and facilitator, this unique space's development was possible because of a generous donation from the LSUS Noel Foundation and funding from the LSUS administration.
